History
Hope Assisted Living Care Centre was established by Dr Chew Yu Gee in 2017 with the aim of providing excellent wholistic care to the elderly residents of Penang and Northern Peninsula Malaysia. Having cared for his own beloved mother with terminal breast cancer, and grandmother with Alzheimer's disease, he understands the needs of our elders who have sacrificed so much for us.

Dr Chew Yu Gee
Founder
Dr Chew Yu Gee is a Paediatrician who also loves Geriatrics!
His passion and laughter can be felt throughout the corridors of Hope Assisted Living Care Centre and he strives to provide more than just physical care.
Hope Assisted Living Care Centre stemmed from his idea of providing wholistic care for senior citizens. His tagline is "Hope Assisted Living Care Centre is a ministry for the elderly. We will give them hope, meaning and an abundant final race in this life".

Dylan Wan
Physiotherapist & Assistant Manager
Dylan Wan serves as the Physiotherapist and Assistant Manager at the Lodge. He assists residents with physiotherapy and exercises to help improve mobility, strength, and overall physical well-being.
In addition to providing physiotherapy care, Dylan also supports the daily operations of the Lodge and works closely with our nursing and caregiving team to ensure residents receive attentive and well-coordinated care.
Dylan is always happy to speak with residents and their families regarding physiotherapy needs and mobility support, helping our residents live comfortably and with dignity.
Dr Art Chew
Medical Doctor
Dr Art Chew brings with him a wealth of experience from his time in various hospitals throughout Peninsula Malaysia - Penang, Selangor and Johor. After completing his internship in Penang General Hospital, he commenced a medical officer job in anaesthetics in Hospital Sultan Aminah, where he learnt to manage patients in ICU with life-threatening conditions.
His passion extends to the emotional and spiritual health of patients, which he incorporates into his daily practice. He is a firm believer of "God heals, we help".
Matron Loe
Nurse Unit Manager
Our attentive and capable nursing staffs are led by senior registered Matron Loe who stationed at the Lodge. With many years of excellent service experience in private hospital, she brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our care team.
Together with our dedicated staffs, we ensure that every resident receives compassionate, professional, and reliable care. Families can rest assured that their loved ones will feel safe, supported, and truly at home in the Lodge — their second home.
Tan Soo Siong
General Manager
Soo left her promising career as P.A. to the Penang State Minister for Youth & Sport, Women & Family Development to pursue her passion of providing exceptional holistic care for seniors at Hope Assisted Living Care Centre. We are extremely proud of her recent appointment as a Penang Island Local Government City Councilor (MBPP). Despite her busy schedule, she still volunteers in community projects that focus especially on the welfare of senior citizens.
